We look at special education a whole new way.
We take a holistic approach to education evaluating physical, emotional, social, academic, and vocational needs.
We focus on each child's capabilities, not disabilities, and we turn those capabilities into life skills.
Our goal is to help and encourage our students to learn to lead independent lives.

Family & Friendship
Here every child feels welcome.
Walk down our hallways and you'll see we do things a little differently at Pitt Academy.
We do all we can to make our students a part of the Pitt family.
For starters, our program is non-graded. We assign students to classes based on ability, not age.
Each child progresses at his or her own pace and according to his or her individual skills.
Students are challenged but not frustrated by unrealistic expectations.
Pitt Academy students and staff are one friendly and happy family. A dedicated,
caring faculty and staff, a tradition of academic excellence in an enhanced
environment, and a sprit of family involvement combine to ensure an outstanding
experience for students at Pitt Academy.
